The cold wind blowing, the voice of the river Ganges, the humorous Hindu mantra chants in the air, the untimely sight of nature... Yes... we are talking about the adventure city of India, Rishikesh.

Rishikesh is a very different place from the normal tourist destinations of India. It is for every section of a human being. From Yoga & Meditation to River Rafting & Bungee Jumping, all are the famous activities of Rishikesh.

Rather, listening to the name of Rishikesh, the picture of adventure activities start coming to everyone's mind. If you are currently in Rishikesh or are considering going there, then you must try all of these activities.

1. River Rafting

Rishikesh is most famous for river rafting. While rafting, as we keep moving forward and split the waves, a different good feeling of realization comes in the mind, which is very difficult to talk about.

Before planning for rafting, you must keep a track on monsoon because its the time when the flow of river Ganga is accelerated and the water level increases.

2. Bungee Jumping

Rishikesh is considered to be India’s best adventure place and that’s right too! The activities here will surely surprise you but will also make lots of fun. Bungee jumping is one of them. Jumping with the help of just one rope from a fixed height is actually a bold activity. Isn’t it?

This is an adventure game that you can play alone, two people or three people together. Rishikesh has Asia's longest Flying Fox track. This fact makes the game even more exciting. You can do it up to a one-kilometre long stretch.

4. Kayaking

Because Rishikesh is India's adventure sports city, so there is no deficit of adventure activities here. Rishikesh has an activity for every kind of traveller. If you like to play in water then Kayaking activity is for you. When you make your own path between the bouncing waves in cold water and the droplets of water come on your face while pedaling, it will give you a unique feeling.

Many of us have experienced Camping and Bonfire many times. Agree? But in Rishikesh, it is the different experience to undergo. Where there is nothing to see other than pollution in other metro cities, Rishikesh gives the experience to see blue clouds and clearly visible stars. In the night, on the banks of river Ganges, while you were sitting near the Bonfire, and when the cold breeze touch your body, then at that time you will forget your busy life and will be lost in a whole new world.

Adventure lovers... here you go, Rishikesh offers another adventure activity for you, Rock Climbing. This is such an activity that beginners can also practice. Shivalik Hills is considered to be the best place in Rishikesh for this activity.

This activity has given delight on the face of many people. Easy or difficult level, trekking is an activity that anyone can do according to their ability. Trekking from all the activities of Rishikesh is the favourite of many tourists because it gives you a chance to see nature more closely.

8. Paragliding

Looking closely at the clouds & feeling them and who would not like to see Earth in such a different form? Yes, you can enjoy this wonderful sight through Paragliding activity whenever you want. But, don't seek to do this in the rainy season because the clouds are blurred during that time.

9. Yoga and Meditation

Many believe that Rishikesh is only known for adventure activities, but it is not completely true. Rishikesh is a great place for yoga and meditation as well. It is the centre of many ashrams; and here, yoga is taught from motivation & stress to health problems.

10. Mountain Biking
